Liver is one of the most important organs in the body. It processes our hormones, contributes to proper digestion, cleanses the body of toxins, and many other important duties.
Our liver breaks down the group of hormones known as the steroid hormones which include:
Our liver breaks down the group of hormones known as the steroid hormones which include:
• Aldosterone which controls the balance of the minerals sodium and potassium and water in the body
• The sex hormones which control our sex life and body shape
• Cortisone which controls the immune system

• Cortisone which controls the immune system
If the liver is not efficient at breaking down these hormones they can accumulate in the body and cause hormonal imbalances.
If aldosterone is not broken down efficiently this can result in fluid retention and many women find this is a problem. Fluid retention can lead to uncomfortable puffiness, an aggravation of cellulite and weight gain. It can also raise the blood pressure.
The liver also has a relationship with the hormone insulin, which is very important when it comes to your metabolism and tendency to gain weight. Insulin is made in the pancreas gland and regulates the metabolism of fats and carbohydrate.
A good cleansing regimen, will cleanse and support vital organs, such as heart, kidneys, blood, digestive and nervous systems. It will help balance the hormones and it will also do wonderful things for your spirit!
Imbalanced emotions also play a part in polluting our system with excess chemicals such as free radicals, homocysteine and cortisol.

It is vital to consume lots of water, with lemon is ideal, and get fresh air to flush these toxins out of your system.
DANDELION ROOT: Dandelion Root can be made into a bitter tea (don't sweeten it, the bitterness is how it works –you'll get used to it) as an excellent tonic for the liver and blood purifier.
Dandelion roots are very high in vitamins and minerals. The common dandelion is an unusually nutritious food. Its leaves contain substantial levels of vitamins A, C, D, and B complex as well as iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, manganese, copper, choline, calcium, boron, and silicon. Worldwide, the root of the dandelion has been used for the treatment of a variety of liver and gallbladder problems. Other historical uses of the root and leaves include the treatment of breast diseases, water retention, digestive problems, joint pain, fever, and skin diseases. The most active constituents in dandelion appear to be eudesmanolide and germacranolide, substances unique to this herb.

Water should be a very important part of any detoxification program. Distilled water is best. 6-8 eight ounce glasses a day. Breathing exercise to overcome all of your physical shortcomings

Glutathione is an important detoxification compound. Vitamin C is the most cost-effective way of raising Glutathione levels. Take 1,000 mg three times a day.
Powdered Psyllium, Seed husks, or Oat Bran is suggested.
Eating a diet that focuses on fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds are extremely important.
Fasting is one of the fastest ways to increase elimination of wastes and enhance the healing process of the body. Go on a three day fast, four times per year (fasting at the change of the seasons is a good rule to remember).

They relax the body and mind, improve circulation and respiration, reduce tension and help the body through its healing process.

Try Yoga Pose for Sexual Potency and Digestion and Yoga to increase abdominal fire and purify the entire system of toxins.
The Yogic breath exercise can be done without instruction, without danger, and with a good chance that your discomfort and stressful feelings will be reduced.
This exercise is fairly intense and has a profound effect on the nervous system.

Relaxation Breath is the most powerful tool for stress management.
Sit up, with your back straight in any position.
Place your tongue against the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth and keep it there throughout the exercise.
Exhale completely through your mouth.
Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
Hold your breath for a count of seven.
Exhale completely through your mouth, to a count of eight.
Repeat this cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
Try to do this breathing exercise at least twice a day.
You can repeat the whole sequence as often as you wish, but don't do it more than four breaths at one time for the first month of practice.
